Email Abuse Leads to Staff Dismissals in UK and Ireland

London & Dublin, July 2006 - It hit the headlines last Thursday in the UK with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) in Swansea sacking 14 employees after finding that its networks were running slow from emails being sent with pornographic attachments.
Then on Friday, it was reported that the Dublin office of investment bankers Merrill Lynch had dismissed 13 staff after conducting an enquiry into the sending of pornographic emails.
